 Wouldn't recommend 3 berth caravan

Review by Birdy on 5/24/22, 7:51 AM

Caravan needs a through clean and sort out. Dirty glasses, thick cobwebs on skylight, Settee had something spilt on it that hadn't been cleaned off. Smelly, Dirty kitchen sink that had dried white paint spilt in it. Empty bottle left in Bath. Wine rack, toilet roll holder rusty and needs replacing. Had a musty/Dirty smell in the Caravan. Blknd in bedroom wouldn't roll down fully. Curtains hung up on garden canes. Door curtain Dirty. View from bedroom and kitchen windows was not pleasant. Outside needs a good clean and Tidy up. All in all not a pleasant place to stay in. Wouldn't recommend it at all

 Less than happy

Just left a night early from park farm as I want to regain some lost sleep. Despite the countless rules you encounter from the less than friendly Derrick the Laminater our neighbours kept us awake by running their Diesel van engine from 10 until 12 o’clock only to restart it again at 1245 to 1.15 and then to our amazement his wife returned back on site in the car at 3.15 in the morning again waking us up. The showers are far too hot to put children under and the shower and toilet blocks are not too clean either won’t be returning in a mad hurry

 Beautiful well run site

Review by Col on 5/31/21, 3:12 PM

We just got back from Park Farm camping today and couldn't have asked for a nicer weekend. The site and facilities are clean and well looked after. There is a small trust shop on site that you can buy basic bits from and there is always a member of staff about for questions. They often stopped to offer help if we looked like we needed it which was lovely and made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. If you need anything beyond a cold can of coke or some washing up liquid, there is a shop 2 mins drive away and Tesco extra about 10 minutes away. You can't bring your own fire pit but you can rent a campfire from the site for £15 and firewood can be bought on site for £5 a bag. Bit pricey but I gather that the land owners call and not the site teams, and you do get to keep the fire pit for the whole of your stay so for a week maybe not so bad. This maybe isn't the site for you if you're looking for lots of entertainment, it's a bit of a drive from anywhere very busy and there isn't any onsite entertainment. But if you want the kids to be able to run about in their pjs until 10pm and really get stuck into camp life then this site is perfect. There is loads of room for ball games, a play park and it's all well away from the main roads so really safe. We honestly had a fantastic stay, the kids are shattered! Thanks so much to Derek and Max for making it a great stay.

We stayed at this campsite for a long weekend as we were next door at a family wedding. Derek & Julie made us very welcome . Lovely site very peaceful, We have already said we will go back next year, with all the family in tow next time. Looking forward to it.

What a lovely Campsite, Derek and Julie were really lovely and friendly people. Came over to say hi and had a chat. The pitches are a very decent size leaving a nice gap between each other, so you don't feel all crowded and bunched in tight. Will happily return again and again. Thank you both for a pleasant stay.

 A great family break

Review by Luke on 9/1/19, 3:51 PM

We had a great family holiday. Derek was fantastic at answering questions prior to arrival and during . He could not have been more helpful. The facilities were very clean including the pool which the children loved. The site is small enough that it feel intimate and the children easily made friends. A great site and one that we would visit again if we are in the area. Thank you for the lovely memories.

We had a lovely time. The grass pitch is a good big size. The facilities are very clean. My son loved the park, little pool and big area to play ball games in. The onsite shop is great with the essentials and plenty of ice creams and ice lollies. Most important to me are how at ease you made me with my 4 dogs and even had somewhere I could exercise them properly. I also liked the recycling bins as usually we take our recycling home. None of us wanted to leave. We will be back. Thankyou

 Family friendly site

Review by Katherine on 8/20/19, 6:34 AM

Friendly, quiet campsite. All the basics covered without going over the top. Great value for money, the little shop stocked with essentials was very reasonably priced. And proper toilet rolls in the ladies - not those awful 'skinny' things on a huge roll. The weather was awful but we had a sheltered spot under the hedge. There was even a basic football pitch with goals, defined by the shorter mown grass. Would definitely use this site again.

been using park farm for the last 12 years. easy to book. warm welcome with no fuss. always get the spot we like along the hedge. electric hook up if you like but we never bother! proper camping. never experienced rowdy campers. always a good night sleep. big space for kids to play plus swings and climbing frames. toilets clean. enough washing up space and kept in order. not rushed to check out by 10am , not even sure what the check out time is? fire pits available but we're always asleep too early to enjoy them. we all love the honest shop for ice cream. see you next year. excellent value for money. very dog friendly. david, sarah, leo, alex and flo.

Thank you Derek and Julie not only for such a warm welcome back but also being so accommodating. With a group of 20 of us and being able to be so close together including electric hook up. Thank you all so much. Facilities are really good and clean. Use of a BBQ as well. We are defiantly booking in for next year. Many Thanks from us all

 Great friendly camp site

Review by Debbie on 8/6/19, 5:18 PM

This is our second visit to this small but friendly campsite. Very good value for money. Toilets and showers are very clean. Friendly staff. Very dog friendly. Lots of space for families and a little paddling pool to cool off in. Perfect for a base or a few days away with friends and family. Little shop and you can even hire a camp fire pit to use . Nice little walks around the village if you have dogs. I Would recomend to anyone looking for a laid back camping trip

We had a lovely week end here. Really laid back site and very clean. Helpful staff and a handy little shop sticking some basic essentials and ice cream! Nice pub about a 15 minute walk away plus a farm shop and general corner sore. Will definitely go back.

 Lovely place to stay

Review by Lisa  on 6/4/19, 1:40 AM

The camp site was easy to find and on arrival was given a friendly welcome by the owners. The site is clean and the facilities are really good. They even gave a honest shop where you can buy essentials and just wrote down what you purchased and bit the money in a tub- everything was reasonable priced too. We will be visiting again.

I used camp to stay in as I was at a wedding next door at Hunters Hall. I have camped here many times over the years, but this was the first time in the static caravan. Perfect, no issues at all.

Review by Mel Johnson on 3/6/19, 7:26 AM

We've been going here for years (at least 5), and always go back, Derek and Julie are always at hand with smiles and nothing is ever too much trouble. The campsite is secure which allows the kids the freedom to play safely. The facilities on site are good, my kids especially like the very reasonably prices shop that's always stacked full of essentials and goodies too :) The highlight of any visit is always the camp fire on a Saturday night with roasted marshmallows!!! The new static caravan is really lovely too. Can't recommend enough!!! Located near all of the main attractions, Wells is only 20 or 25 mins away with Gressinghall and Dinosaur world just around the corner.
