Scout Night Twilight Program & Star Party

Overview

The Scout Night Twilight Program & Star Party features a live scale model of the solar system, using scouts in the audience to play the role of planets. The program highlights the way objects move in our solar system and where those objects appear in our night sky. This program can aid in meeting several requirements for the BSA Astronomy Badge, including identification of planets visible to the unaided eye, description of the motion of the planets across the sky, and identification of zodiac constellations. This pass also includes telescope observing and brief constellation tour (i.e., the Scout Night Star Party) for Scouts & Scout leaders only. These are NOT public programs.
