About City Kayak

You can choose a boat AT THE SHOP. Single, double kayak, or SUP. Enter a comment if you prefer certain kind.

We start check-ins 10 minutes before the hour and close 20 minutes after the hour.

A paddle and life jacket are included free with the rental- Drybag rental is $1 per use. Life jacket for infant, child and pet are available for $8 per use.

Morning to early afternoon are calmer and suitable for beginners or families with children. Windy condition or strong tides will limit paddling in beginner area only(McCovey Cove and Mission Creek). Spring and summer afternoon is often windy after 1:30pm, peaking between 2pm-5pm.

Touring kayaks are available, but each person must show a reentry certification or equivalent proof of the capability when paddling on a large open water. A tandem kayak will require one person to be certified.

We require a credit card at check in.

Please allow yourself additional time for parking, orientation, and more if this is your first visit to City Kayak. You will be charged based on time of the water.

CHANGE AND CANCELLATION
$20 fee applies if cancelled 24 hours prior to the rental time. All change and cancellation requests should be emailed. Phone or voicemail requests will not be processed.
